Details

To reach Alaska's Boardwalk Lodge from Ketchikan, guests have three options. The inter-island ferry to Hollis is followed by a 1.5-hour drive, costing $50 per person plus a $200 lodge pick-up fee for groups of up to five. A small plane via Island Air Express to Klawock takes 45 minutes and costs $200-$250 per person, with the same pick-up fee. The chartered floatplane takes guests directly to the lodge for $600 each way, arriving at 5:30 pm.

Commercial flights via Alaska Airlines may require overnight stays in Ketchikan, depending on arrival time. Private jets usually land in Ketchikan with floatplane transfers, though some can land in Klawock, where the lodge arranges pick-ups if notified in advance.

Boardwalk Lodge is located on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska, facing the Inside Passage. It’s a 30-minute floatplane ride west of Ketchikan.

Yes, although we provide high-quality fishing equipment, guests are welcome to bring their own. However, Alaska bans felt-bottom boots, and personal gear may reduce the amount of fish you can fly home.
Boardwalk Lodge offers easy access to 23 fishable lakes, rivers, and streams within a short drive. No fly-outs are necessary, though they can be arranged at an additional cost.
We use 28-foot V-Hull Cuddy style boats equipped with GPS, sanitary facilities, and radio communication. Each boat holds up to 4 guests.
Guides are available for nine hours daily, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional hours may be arranged for an extra cost.
We’ll prepare your fishing license and King Stamp before your arrival. The cost is included in your package.

Children can enjoy kayaking (with adults), supervised use of the Jacuzzi, nature hikes, horseshoes, and dock fishing. No daycare services are provided.
We offer complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks, and water. Premium wines and mixed drinks are available for an additional charge.
Cell service is limited, but AT&T works best. We offer satellite internet, and Wi-Fi calling is available at the lodge.
